Infinix has launched its budget phone, the Infinix Smart 20, aimed at tight budgets. It relies on the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate for acceptable performance in this class, with a punch-hole display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate — a fairly rare feature in budget phones — and a slim, smart design, in exchange for a 5200 mAh battery and modest cameras.

What stands out about the Infinix Smart 20

The display is a large 6.78-inch punch-hole IPS LCD, but at HD+ resolution only (720 × 1576 px) with a fairly modest 259 ppi, a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz (45/60/90/120Hz), and limited brightness of just 700 nits — which makes visibility in direct sunlight weaker than on pricier phones.

Even so, a high refresh rate remains fairly rare at this budget price.

The phone runs the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate, built on a 12nm process with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU — the same chip as the Infinix Hot 60i — delivering acceptable performance for basic tasks and everyday browsing, with no ambitions in demanding games.

It comes with 4GB of RAM (virtually expandable to 8GB) and 64GB or 128GB of storage, with memory card expansion via a slot separate from the second SIM — an important feature that lets you use two SIMs and a card at the same time.

Both the rear and front cameras are just 8 MP, which puts the phone at a very modest level for photography next to its rivals.

The battery is 5200 mAh with just 15W wired charging and 5W reverse charging — a reasonable capacity but not the largest in its class, as Infinix chose to trade some battery size for a slim 7.7mm profile.

On durability, the phone carries an IP64 rating against dust and water splashes (no full submersion) — among the best protection levels available in this budget class.
