Oppo has launched its new Oppo Reno16 5G in the Egyptian market, and this year it moves noticeably closer to the Pro model in size and design than ever before. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with a fully revamped triple-camera system where every lens is 50MP, plus a large battery and 80W fast charging.
Display and Design
The display is a flat AMOLED panel with a punch-hole cutout, measuring 6.32 inches with a 1.5K resolution (1216×2640 pixels) at 460 ppi, a 120Hz refresh rate, brightness reaching 1,800 nits, and Crystal Guard protection. This year, the screen size exactly matches the Pro model's. On design, the phone features a glass front and an aluminum frame, with either a glass or composite plastic back depending on the color. The phone carries very strong resistance ratings including IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
Chipset and Performance
The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, built on a 4nm process, paired with an Adreno 722 GPU — the same chipset used in the previous Reno15 generation, with no upgrade. It delivers stable performance, supporting games like PUBG Mobile at 90fps. In the Egyptian market, the phone is available in a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with no microSD expansion.
Camera
The rear camera system has been fully revamped this year: a 50MP main lens (f/1.8) with OIS, a genuine 50MP telephoto lens (f/2.8) offering 3.5x optical zoom with its own OIS, and a third 50MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.0) — a significant upgrade from the modest 8MP sensor in the previous generation.
