Realme has launched its new phone, the Realme 16 5G, to lead the entry mid-range with a design that stands apart from most rivals at this price. What stands out about the Realme 16 5G

The phone uses a flat 6.57-inch AMOLED display at FHD+ (1080 × 2372 px) with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dragontrail Star D+ protection, and a claimed brightness of 4200 nits (actual everyday brightness is closer to roughly 1400 nits) — still a good figure for reading in direct sunlight.

The phone is fairly slim at 8.1mm and just 183 g despite the large battery, giving it a balanced feel in the hand compared with most phones in its class.

On performance, it runs the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo, built on a 6nm process with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU — nearly the same chip as the previous Realme 15T, so it is no real performance leap, but remains adequate for everyday use, social apps and light to mid-weight games.

It pairs with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via a memory card in place of the second SIM.
