Xiaomi 17T Pro — Price and Full Specifications
out of 10
Xiaomi has launched its new phone, the Xiaomi 17T Pro, to compete hard in the "flagship killer" class — the flagship Dimensity 9500 chip, a large 144Hz AMOLED display with high brightness, a strong Leica-tuned camera system, and a huge 7000 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
In this article from Qayimli we go through the Xiaomi 17T Pro's full specifications and weigh up its main strengths and weaknesses, to help you decide whether it deserves your money.
What stands out about the Xiaomi 17T Pro
The display is a flat 6.83-inch AMOLED at 1.5K resolution (1280 × 2772 px) with 447 ppi, a 144Hz refresh rate, an excellent 3840Hz PWM dimming rate, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, high brightness up to 3500 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Note that the full 144Hz rate does not actually run all the time — the system stays at 120Hz in most everyday scenarios and only switches to 144Hz in specific cases.
For performance, the phone runs MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500, built on a 3nm process with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU — the same chip class as fully flagship rivals such as the Oppo Find X9 Pro — giving it very strong performance that approaches the full flagship tier.
It pairs with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, with no memory card expansion.
The camera system is triple, in full partnership with Leica: a 50 MP main lens (Light Fusion 950 sensor, F/1.7) with optical stabilisation; a true 50 MP periscope telephoto (Samsung JN5 sensor, F/3.0) delivering real optical zoom up to 5x and digital zoom up to 100x, also optically stabilised; and a third 12 MP ultrawide lens.
The front camera is 32 MP.
The phone records 8K video at 30 fps (main lens only), plus 4K at multiple frame rates and FHD at up to 960 fps for extreme slow motion.
The battery is 7000 mAh with 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
On durability, the phone carries an IP68 rating (submersion to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes), with a glass body and an aluminium side frame — a premium feel worthy of the flagship class.
It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, ships with HyperOS 3, and carries Xiaomi's commitment to five years of Android updates.
Xiaomi 17T Pro cons
The full 144Hz rate rarely runs in practice — everyday use mostly stays at 120Hz.
The 32 MP front camera is middling next to the strong rear cameras.
It is an evolution of the Xiaomi 15T Pro centred on a stronger chip and a much bigger battery, without fundamental change elsewhere.
The aluminium frame makes it slightly heavier (219 g) than some rivals in the class.
No memory card expansion.
Xiaomi 17T Pro pros
Very strong performance from the flagship Dimensity 9500 — the same chip class as fully flagship rivals.
A huge 7000 mAh battery delivering superb endurance beyond a full day.
Very fast 100W wired charging plus 50W wireless — a rare combination at this price.
Strong Leica-tuned rear cameras with a true 5x telephoto lens and 8K video support.
Premium materials (glass and aluminium) with strong IP68 water and dust resistance.
An excellent display for colour, brightness and slim bezels.
Xiaomi's five-year Android update commitment — among the longest on the market.
What's in the Xiaomi 17T Pro box
The box includes: the phone with a plastic screen protector pre-applied, a 100W charging brick (availability varies by market), a USB Type-C cable, a protective case, a SIM ejector tool and a user guide.
Xiaomi 17T Pro price
