Apple has launched its new phone, the iPhone Air, with a revolutionary design that makes it the thinnest and lightest phone Apple has ever made — just 5.6mm thick and 165 g — with a titanium frame, a large 6.5-inch display with a fast variable refresh rate up to 120Hz and high brightness, Apple's most powerful current chip, the A19 Pro, and a new 18 MP selfie camera with a square sensor.

What stands out about the iPhone Air

The display is an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED with the Dynamic Island design (not the traditional notch), measuring 6.5 inches at 1260 × 2736 px with 460 ppi, full Always-On Display support, a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, Ceramic Shield 2 protection and brightness up to 3000 nits.

The side frame is Grade 5 titanium, 80% recycled — giving the phone very strong durability despite its extreme thinness, according to Apple's internal testing.

For performance, the phone runs the Apple A19 Pro, built on a 3nm process (the same chip as the iPhone 17 Pro) with a five-core GPU equipped with AI accelerators and hardware ray tracing, paired with 12GB of RAM (not 8GB as sometimes claimed) and storage from 256GB up to 1TB, with no memory card expansion.

The phone also carries Apple's own C1X modem and N1 networking chip, supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and the Thread protocol — part of Apple's push to reduce reliance on external chip suppliers.

The phone launched globally at a base price of $999–1,000 for the 256GB version.

In Egypt it costs approximately EGP 77,000 for the 256GB version (zero-tax warranty), rising to about EGP 95,000 for the 512GB version.

In Saudi Arabia the price ranges between SAR 4,700 and 6,700 depending on storage, and in the UAE between AED 4,300 and 6,000.
