Realme 16 Pro Plus — Price and Full Specifications
out of 10
Realme has moved to the front of the upper mid-range with its new Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G — a large 6.8-inch curved display with high brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for strong, stable performance, a clear focus on photography with a 200 MP main camera and the return of a true telephoto lens after its absence last generation, and a huge 7000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
In this review from Qayimli we go through every detail of the phone and weigh up its strengths and weaknesses, so you can decide whether it deserves your money.
What stands out about the Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G
The display curves on all sides (a design known as 4D Curved), measuring 6.8 inches at 1.5K resolution (1280 × 2800 px) with 453 ppi, a 144Hz refresh rate, a very high 4608Hz PWM dimming rate, HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, with a claimed brightness of 6500 nits (actual brightness is closer to 1800 nits — the highest in the series).
The bezels are extremely slim (about 1.48mm) with a screen-to-body ratio of 94%, for an immersive viewing feel.
For performance, the phone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, built on a 4nm process with an Adreno 722 GPU — the same chip as the previous Realme 15 Pro, meaning this year's core upgrade is in the camera, display, battery and durability rather than raw performance.
It pairs with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with no memory card expansion.
The biggest leap this year is the camera: a 200 MP main lens (Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor, F/1.8–1.9) with optical stabilisation, working alongside a true 50 MP telephoto lens (Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor) delivering real optical zoom up to 3.5x and digital zoom up to 120x — also optically stabilised.
The set is completed by a third 8 MP ultrawide lens.
The front camera is 50 MP, and the phone records 4K video at multiple frame rates from both cameras.
The battery is 7000 mAh with 80W fast charging, and on durability the phone carries strong IP66, IP68 and IP69/IP69K ratings.

Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G cons
- The side frame is glossy plastic despite the leather-look back.
- No eSIM support in most markets.
- A relatively high launch price in Egypt next to its upper mid-range rivals.
- It is an evolution of the Realme 15 Pro focused mainly on the rear camera (a higher 200 MP resolution and the returning telephoto lens), with no real leap in the unchanged chip.
Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G pros
- A distinctive design that stands apart from most competing Chinese phones at this price.
- Strong water and dust resistance at IP68 and IP69/IP69K.
- A camera system that competes seriously in its class, especially the main lens and the true telephoto.
- An excellent long-lasting battery with 80W fast charging.
- A large curved AMOLED display with high brightness, excellent colours and high resolution.
- Stereo speakers for a good audio experience.
- Stable, very acceptable performance from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 used across most current upper mid-range phones.
